Know the Difference Between Levitra and Kamagra

Both erectile dysfunction and pulmonary arterial hypertension are treated with the prescription drugs Kamagra (sildenafil) and Levitra (vardenafil). Pfizer Pharmaceuticals first made Kamagra available in March 1998 to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension. Clinical studies showed that sildenafil citrate, the active ingredient, also relaxed the muscle tissues of the penis, allowing for greater blood flow. Similar principles apply to Levitra in the UK, which was developed by Bayer Pharmaceuticals and distributed by GlaxoSmithKline to treat erectile dysfunction.

The Kamagra pill has a blue, rounded diamond shape that comes in doses of 25, 50, and 100 mg. Levitra comes in dosages of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg in orange-colored pills. It is advised to take both drugs 30 to 60 minutes prior to the planned sexual activity.

When to Take Levitra or Kamagra

Take Levitra and Kamagra as needed, up to 4 hours before starting a sexual activity, depending on your needs. However, unless specifically prescribed by a doctor based on a patient’s medical history, neither medicine should be taken more than once per day. Levitra and Kamagra may be less convenient for some people than erectile dysfunction medications like Cialis because they require no “planning” and can be used at any time without restriction. Cialis can be taken in a modest, daily dose.

Dosage

Most people should take 50 mg of Kamagra at first, roughly an hour before sexual activity. However, one can take Kamagra up to 4 hours or as little as 30 minutes before engaging in sexual activity. Depending on how well a person responds to the medication, the first 50 mg dose, given no more than once daily, may need to be changed later. The daily dose can be increased to 100 mg or decreased to 25 mg.

Typically, patients taking Levitra in the UK begin with a 10 mg dose, which they should only take once daily, an hour before sexual activity. Levitra can start working in some patients in as short as 30 minutes. Similar to Kamagra, Levitra dosages are modified based on a patient’s response; typically, doctors will reduce doses to 2.5 mg or increase them to no more than 20 mg once day.

How Levitra and Kamagra Work

Impotence (also known as erectile dysfunction) is thought to be caused by medical (physical) disorders such diabetes and circulatory, neurological, or urological issues more than half of the time. The remainder are thought to be brought on by psychological issues. The physical restriction that limits blood flow to the penis is treated by Levitra in the UK and Kamagra. Blood flow into the penis increases while outflow decreases during an erection. Nitric oxide is produced and released by the body in the penis during sexual stimulation. This triggers the formation of cyclic guanosine monophosphate and the activation of the guanylate cyclase enzyme (cGMP). By changing the speeds at which blood flows into and out of a penis, the monophosphate cGMP directly impacts erections.

Storage

Store Kamagra and Levitra at room temperature and away from areas with a lot of moisture (e.g., bathroom, kitchen). Neither medication need to be in the sun’s direct rays.
