Interesting Basket Based Gifts To Give To Say Thank You

Basket Based Gifts

There is something to be said about saying thank you to someone who has done you a favor, been understanding, or has helped you out when you have needed it.

In many cases, a simple message saying thank you will suffice, but what if you want to show your gratitude in a way that leaves more of an impact? This can be the case when you have a family member who has helped you during a financial crisis or has housed you when you had nowhere to go. It can even be extended to your colleagues at work.

For family members, it is simple enough to give them something heartfelt, such as a photo of the 2 of you when you were children. But if you are looking to say thank you to a colleague, client, or even a member of staff, it can be a bit trickier when choosing what to give. And, if there are rules relating to gift giving at your workplace, you may be in breach if you give something that could be seen as inappropriate.

Luckily, many people give gift baskets to colleagues, clients, and staff as a way to say thank you. But what can you put in them? Be sure to check the guidelines relating to gift-giving first, but here are some simple ideas to help you show your gratitude.

Self-Care Basket

There is a lot to be said about self-care in the current climate, and making or buying a basket that is full of self-care items will go a long way toward showing how thankful you are. In fact, a self-care basket has gone from being one of the most unique thank you gifts from the Basketry to being one of the more mainstream options that you can buy in the last 2 years.

If you are making the basket from scratch, be sure to consider the person or people you are giving it to. A self-care basket can be a bit different depending on who you are gifting it to. It will usually contain items such as body wash, bath oils, exfoliating scrubs, and moisturizers. In some cases, you can even pop in a scented candle, too, with a scent like lavender or vanilla. Just be sure to check that when you are buying or putting together such a basket that the person does not have allergies!

Coffee

Yes, in 2022, the majority of people will have a coffee machine in their homes and will even compete in an odd way about being a coffee aficionado in the workplace.

So, if you know a friend, colleague, or member of staff who loves a more sophisticated cup of coffee, why not switch it up and make them a coffee-based gift basket? This can include things like a coffee cup with their name on it, packets of different kinds of coffee, and in some cases, even a small, glass coffee pot with a built-in filtration system at the top. These can vary in price, so be sure not to go too nuts if you don’t know the person very well!

Why not go a step further, and invest in some different kinds of coffee from around the world? That can make your basket an even more interesting talking point.

Crafting

This is a great idea if you know someone who is a fan of all things craft based. Best of all, as crafting is such a wide area, you can target what you put in your basket to match the person perfectly.

Crafting baskets that are generalized usually have balls of yarn, knitting needles, a crochet kit, and buttons if they are aimed at someone who loves knitting and other similar crafts. If you are looking to aim the basket at someone who is a fan of painting, you can create a basket that has canvases, a sketchbook, watercolor pencils, and paintbrushes. The best part of making a craft-based basket is that the price can be as high or as low as you want it to be without compromising too much on what is put into the basket.

Plants

Who doesn’t like plants?

In 2022, more people than ever before are turning their homes into jungles, as plants can make a dull room look more vibrant and appealing. Also, many people who have access to an outside space are now looking to plant wildflowers to help pollinators, making a plant basket easier to put together than you may think.

If you know your colleague is a fan of indoor plants, then a small basket based around a simple Bonsai tree will work. Or, if you want to be a bit more daring, why not invest in a range of plug plants? These are what smaller plants are known as, and they are kept in smaller pots, which can make them easier to include in a gift basket. This will allow you to choose a more unusual plant, such as a purple fluffy plant (yes, that’s a real plant name!) or African violet.

When it comes to making a hamper for an outdoor plant lover, you can choose pollinator seed bombs, or even vegetable seeds, if they are a fan of growing their own food. You can mix it up and create a harvest-based gift basket, which will have all manner of vegetable seeds and fruit plug plants, which will go well with a personalized trough or watering can. You will make your plant lover very happy with a basket like this.

Alcohol

OK, so this is where the guidelines at your workplace will need to be glanced over, as it may be against policy to gift alcohol to colleagues or clients.

But, if there is no rule against such a gift and you know that the person you are gifting it to loves a bottle of red wine, then why not gift just that? Or, alternatively, you can gift them a basket based on brewing their own alcohol, which can be a fun twist on a traditional gift basket.
