About SSCÂ
Staff Selection Commission SSC is an organization under the Government of India to recruit staff and personnel for various Government departments.Â
Formed on 1st January 1999, SSC conducts SC CGL (Combined Graduate Level), Junior Engineer, GD Constable, SI (Central Police Organization), and various other exams yearly.
What is SSC JE?
The SSC JE is an All-India Level Examination to recruit Junior Engineers from core branches of engineering like electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and civil engineering.Â
As candidates, we need to clear two SSC JE 2022 exam tiers to get recruited. The first tier comprises MCQ questions, whereas the second tier exam is descriptive.Â
The syllabus contains covers both non-technical and technical subjects. Once selected, candidates will be designated to work in various prestigious government departments.Â
According to the SSC JE notification, the Tier I Staff Selection Commission JE examination 2022 will be held in November 2022 tentatively.
Overview of the Examination
Age Limit | Candidates up to 32 years of age are eligible to be recruited for the CPWD (Central Public Works Department) and CWC (Central Water Commission) departments.
Candidates up to 30 years can appear for recruitment exams for MES (Military Engineer Services), Border Road Organization, Farakka Barrage Project, NTRO (National Technical Research Organization), and other departments. |

How to Register Online for the Examination?
Step 1: To avail of the SSC JE online apply facility, Visit SSC.nic.in and click “New User? Register Now”.
Step 2: In the new window, we will fill in the following details:
- ID Proof Details
The SSC accepts the following ID proofs:Â
- Aadhar Card.
- Employer’s ID (Government/PSUs/Private).
- Pan Card.
- Driving License.
- Passport.
- School or College ID.
- Voter ID Card.
- Name of the candidate.
- Mother’s name.
- Father’s name.
- Date of birth.
- Gender.
- Matriculation year.Â
- Education board.
- Roll number.
- Year of passing
- Mobile number.
- Email ID.
- State/UT where the candidate is residing.
After filling in the details, we will receive a registration ID and a password for future logins. This ID and password are permanent; we can use them to access the Staff Selection Commission website for any recruitment examination.
Step 3: Signature and photograph of the candidate.
Once the registration process is done, we must upload a photo and digital signature per the format laid down in the official notification.
Step 4: We are required to fill in the following information in the application form:
- Education details.
- Address.
- Choice of exam centre.
Step 5: We have to pay the application fee online.Â
Step 6: We submit the form once the fees are paid.
Step 7: We should print out the SSC JE application form 2022 for future references after submission.
